LDA is an exceptional act in the Reggaeton scene because they look and sound unlike any other artists currently working in the world's hottest genre. For one, they are the only duo to feature both a male and a female lead vocalist, seamlessly integrating Baby Psycho's aggressive freestylin' skills with counterpart Orquídea Negra's smooth romantic stylings. For another, they are the only Reggaeton act that can claim to be of American origin. Though they are both of Dominican descent, the duo were raised in New York City, influenced significantly more by artists the likes of 2Pac, Nas and Busta Rhymes, as opposed to the more traditional Latin Music that currently defines the genre.
